[Eric goes to get said blood for Godric and in seconds is beside him, handing him the glass. He's gonna make sure Godric drinks it.]

[Godric eyes Eric, frowning some. He dislikes being treated like an errant child at the best of times, and now it's only worse because he knows that's probably exactly what he's been acting like, in regards to feeding. His opposition to it isn't even something he feels fully comfortable being able to explain.

Taking the glass, hesitates only briefly before taking a sip. It's as if he's triggered an avalanche, and suddenly he realizes just how hungry he is. The rest of the glass is downed quickly, and Godric looks surprised at himself.]

[Eric sees this and he clenches his jaw slightly. Godric should not go so long without feeding, is the general thought running through his mind.]

You might have enjoyed it if you hadn't been overcome by guilt. Such emotions get you nowhere.

[Godric nods, complying almost meekly, though Godric is never truly meek. He is resigned to his fate, though. Eric was right, and he's known that all along, but what is logical is not always what one's emotions agree to.]

I'm real sorry me havin' feelings about things puts you out.

[Once they are at the bar, Eric refills Godric's glass almost to the brim. He wants to get as much blood in his maker as possible.]

I don't know why you still choose not to feed and I won't pretend to. But I wish you would give me some kind of explanation.

[True, his maker doesn't have to tell him anything, but considering the bond they share Eric hopes that he will.]

Yes, I can tell. [There's a definite smirk there that she can pretty much just hear.]

[Godric takes a few sips, slower this time, before responding, low and halting.]

I barely understand it myself. It's guilt, I think. When I drink, I'm reminded of things I don't want to be reminded of.

[Like spending two millennia awash in blood only to ultimately understand that it accomplished nothing that Godric wanted to be responsible for.]

[Eric totally doesn't get that whole guilt thing Godric is feeling.]

Then perhaps it's just as well that feeding from humans off limits at this bar.

[He pours his own glass of O positive and drinks it slowly.]
